If you love rook. This game is it.

We play a game back home that is called 200 and very similar to rook, love that i can modify the rules to make it almost exactly like the game i love! I only wish you could include block bidding

Very hard to win at. Played five games in a row with not one ace. Seems like the computer gets the best cards the majority of the time. Also there should be a game where you call your partner which I am used to.

I play it way too much. The ability to modify the rules is great. I changed the game slightly and now play it almost exactly the same way my family has played it for decades. Great fun!

Do not download this game! The multiplayer STILL crashes constantly! The latest update FAILED to solve the multiplayer problem! The multiplayer EXTREMELY BUGGY/GLITCHY making the game UNPLAYABLE! IM DISGUSTED that this game is sill allowed to be sold! Harsh but true!

After all players moved to current version, multiplay works excellent. No more lags or crashes.

Great take on a classic game. What sets this App apart is the "make your own rules" option called "New Rule Set." It allows you to customize the game to include some of the traditional house rules, such as including the 1s, including the Rook card, setting the Rooks value, etc. I hope that future updates to "Blackbird" will have more options in the New Rule Set menu (such as the ability to Shoot-The-Moon or calling "low-card" instead of calling trump after taking the nest) to customize the game even further.

Don, I enjoy the game, but one thing I find frustrating. Zeus and I will have a score in the upper 400s (on our way to an easy win) and Zeus will continue to bid, often taking us set in the process. Anything to "smarten him up" in that circumstance would be appreciated. Thanks, Jack Wilson, Alta

I think the AI is done pretty well. And I played this several times and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Enough that I eventually decided to reset my stats. I played 2 games and won 2 games, then saw that the stats said I had a 50% win rate. ?! The game it claimed I lost was a game where I won 600 to -35. Maybe something about the computer having a negative score screwed up the algorithm? Please fix. I wont bother playing this game as long as the stats are corrupt. But fix it, and I will rewrite this review.

The online play has all but quit working since the new iOS update. My wife and I normally play every night before bed, but since we updated our phones it is just too frustrating. You have to leave the game and reenter each turn just for it to update and show the computers have played. Please give us an update to correct these issues.

Like it, not pay for many but wanted this game

Awesome game!! We play with the black two as the highest card higher than blackbird or took and it is 20 points which makes 200 points all together. You might add that in because other people might play like that and like the game a little more but other than awesome app.

Best Rook app I have found. A few things could improve it though. Other misdeal settings. Computer players continuing to bid after I pass on single player. I hate having to bid on a hand I dont want just to run it up past 115, when I play min = 100 and max = 180.

Weve been playing rook as family for years and we love this version. In between times we play it together we complain about Poseidon, and how horrible a partner Zeus is, but we spend tons of time playing this and love it. Best app I totally recommend it! Also, I havent had any issues other users reported and Ive played hundreds of games.

June 2015: I have given up. It doesnt appear the AI will be addressed, so I am forced to uninstall the game. Nothing has been done to address my prior experiences with the computer opponents. May 2015: Game is well written, but computer partner seldom does anything but pass during the bidding. Also, it seems the computer opponents get the best cards very often. I have reset statistics multiple times and the AI opponents always win far more than 50%. The game outcomes appear predetermined. The AI team member misplays a card frequently. The interface is very nice. The AI needs work.

Nice format with a few fatal flaws. In multiplayer online, you need to exit out off e game and get back in to it in order to play. Makes game play extremely slow. Also it resets the score between hands. Once those are fixed it will be great! Until then, stay away.

I never leave bad remarks on apps, but being that this is a paid app and I see other people posting about the score and delay issue from feb and its still not fixed is frustrating. I grew up on Rook and happily paid the 2 dollars for this app as did my coworkers and we love to play, but we have to constantly exit the app and go back in to see if its our turn, and in the current game I am in there are 7 rounds showing that no one got any points that round. Like I said if it was a free app I would understand, but I rarely pay for apps so when I do I expect customer feedback to be taken into account.

Started playing this at work and loved it. Got this to practice. Nice game to practice on. When you bid the bid goes way up, but when the computers bid the bid stays low. Other than that just like playing for real.
